Building on BMW’s virtual experience strategy, we chose Fortnite to connect with one of the most dynamic target groups. BMW Hypnopolis in Fortnite seamlessly combined gaming, creativity, and brand innovation to create a truly groundbreaking experience.
Tapping into Fortnite’s massive popularity and the community’s passion for customization, BMW introduced a world first: the ability to customize cars in-game. In the futuristic city of Hypnopolis, players were guided by Julia, BMW’s electric mechanic and dedicated Fortnite character, on an epic mission. By completing three mini-games, they unlocked access to the innovative Car Creator, allowing them to personalize the fully-electric BMW iX2 with both authentic modifications and imaginative features like burger rims, galaxy paint, and dwarf bombs.
